Not food, but interspersing the quilt "recipes" within the story. Oh, that’s great, I’ll have to check out Nero Wolfe (not on an empty stomach! :) )

Mr. Wolfe is quite the gourmand and stories often involve meals, beer and his highly exacting standards. It is enough a part of the story that there is actually a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Nero-Wolfe-Cookbook-Rex-Stout/dp/1888952245/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1212636147&sr=1-1" rel="nofollow">Nero Wolfe Cookbook. I adored "Waitress" and I absolutely loved the names of her pies! I’m a big mystery fan and I own all of the Nero Wolfe mysteries. Mr. Wolfe is quite the gourmand and stories often involve meals, beer and his highly exacting standards. It is enough a part of the story that there is actually a Nero Wolfe Cookbook.
