Marie the BostonBibliophile says: Since some of us in America may be busy or traveling this holiday week, I thought I would keep things simple for Tuesday Thingers. Think of this as “Popularity of Books on LT, Part Three”.
Here is the Top 100 Most Popular Books on LibraryThing. Bold what you own, italicize what you’ve read. Star what you liked. Star multiple times what you loved!
I hope all the American participants have a great Fourth of July weekend!
note from Dawn: this is the perfect assignment for me today! My “T” has been working only intermittently; spellcheck keeps finding all kinds of words I’ve left the “T” out of. his doesn’ involve oo much yping! (This doesn’t involve too much typing!)
I was surprised by how many of my supposed favorites I don’t own; also by how many of these top 100 books I own and haven’t yet read … oh, that TBR list grows again! I don’t have time for the star ratings today … perhaps I’ll be able to come back and edit those in.
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES UPDATE: This is so odd that I’m leaving up a partial post, hoping to get a laugh out of some of you who read my blog …. I twice edited this list of LT Top 100: once in Word (then imported into my WordPress post), when I lost all the bold and italic markings I re-did the edit directly in WordPress, but lost the editing marks again! Finally, I give up! It looked like, although I own many of the LT Top 100, I hadn’t read any of them!!
At least I can laugh about it! (or should I say, a leas I can laugh abou i!)

lol. I’m sorry about your power cord situation- what a pain. But hey, it’s always good to add to Mt. TBR, right?
phew! a new Dell-brand power cord is coming via UPS and should arrive tomorrow! Let’s hope it does, or I’ll be chained to the desktop until Monday’s delivery!
All my “cookies”, calendar, contacts and e-mail are on that laptop, so I’m quite anxious to get back on it (the laptop detox is not going well!)
I can’t imagine having no access to my own computer! How sad for you, and how unfortunate that your list was determined to rebel. I hope your cord turns up tomorrow!
Lol I had problems with the copying and pasting too. It did eventually work after I pasted into word and then copy and pasted that into wordpress. At least I think that’s what I did… Sorry you had so much trouble!
TECHNICAL ISSUES RESOLVED!
Having received the WRONG laptop cord from the hotel (and having paid FedEx to deliver said wrong laptop cord), I made a few more phone calls to the hotel. I knew I wouldn’t be getting my cord when the person I had been speaking to told me, “I’m sorry, we can’t find your LAPTOP CASE”!!
Speed-dial to Dell, another overnight delivery (but two days later, since I missed the shipping cut-off time) … UPS just delivered the cord and I’m back in business!
Yahoo! Comittment to a 12-step laptop withdrawal program has been rescinded, and my hands have just about stopped shaking! Sign that I’m too dependent on technology!?
