Monday – the kids begin day camp! Seems like the perfect time to start Julie Morgenstern’s new book, When Organizing Isn’t Enough: SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life. This book speaks to me in so many ways … how could I not love a book that opens with a quote from Thoreau: Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.
Tuesday: Marie at BostonBibliophilewill post our weekly Tuesday Thingers question
Wednesday: I had hoped to get to Porter Square Books to hear Jennifer Haigh read from her new novel, The Condition; it sounds fascinating! I was so intrigued that I googled “Turner Syndrome” to learn more about the affliction of the fictional main character. Unfortunately, lack of a babysitter and inconvenient train schedules are probably going to prevent me from getting in to Cambridge … I’ll pick up the book at our local bookstore and hope to see Ms. Haigh at another event.
Thursday: My personal deadline for posting my review of The Genizah at the House of Shepher, an award-winning novel by Tamar Yellin that I received from the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program.
Friday: check out “Friday Finds” at the end of the week and see what books have come into my life during the week (and I’ll let you know if I’ve made any progress using Julie Morgenstern’s SHED system!)
