Today’s Question from the Boston Bibliophile: The LT Home Page feature. How are you liking it? Or not? Do you go here when you log into LT or do you use your profile page more?
My answer: (first, apologies to the composer of Home on the Range for my mangled attempt at parody). Yes, the LT Home page is my bookmarked LT page. It’s a great snapshot of how I connect with others on LT (rather than my profile, which is 90% ME and MY LIBRARY … very egotistical, my profile page is!)
Sometimes the headlines from the LT blog grab my eye from the home page, and I love the “on this day” section (today, December 16 is Jane Austen’s birthday … did you know that?). Like Marie, I could do without the “hot reviews” section; in fact, I wonder what makes them “hot!”
My “tag watch” section defaulted to “fiction” and “non-fiction”, so I just edited that to look for the newest 10 books with a “Boston” tag. A bit random, but more interesting than the default!
Marie has shared that she’ll be stepping away from providing the questions for this weekly meme; thanks, Marie, for all the time and effort you’ve put into Tuesday Thingers!
What’s your “tag watch” set to?

I use the home page all the time too. I go to my profile page when I have a new comment.
My tag watch is set to catch anything that mentions Arizona. I don’t need any help finding books in other genres to read!
You know, I’ve never looked at the LT blog!
Here’s my Thinger!

That’s what my tag watch defaults to also, and it doesn’t do much for me, but I haven’t gotten around to changing it yet.
