There has been some very positive activity over at our Book Bloggers First Book fundraising page!
- Becca at BookStack pledged to donate $2.50 for each of her viewers who committed to buying books for the holidays. It costs First Book $2.50 to get a book into the hands of a child; Becca’s generous contribution of $100, matched by partners in the publishing industry, will provide 80 books to children! Wow!
- Serena at Savvy Verse and Wit has been adding to our fundraising page at Books for Kids Books for Keeps - thanks, Serena!
- Vicki also joined the team; Vicki, I don’t know which blog is yours … please let me know so I can link to you!
- I’ve rounded up the referral fees from online shopping on my blog, and added another $10 to my collections.
Aside from direct donations to the our Book Bloggers efforts, you can help by shopping thru links on She is Too Fond of Books. I’ve recently added Barefoot Books, a wonderful independent press whose mission is “to celebrate the world’s diversity, encourage children’s independent spirits, and build their enthusiasm for reading, creativity, and discovery.”
And here’s one more holiday coupon from Barnes and Noble, for 25% off one item. Order today for delivery by Christmas! Click the image and use coupon code P7P7Y9N.
At the end of each month I tally the referral fees, round it up, and send it along to First Book.
Check out Bookmark, the First Book blog, to read the latest news from the organization.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
