Friday Finds is a peek at what books have caught my eye this week; it’s a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should be Reading. I’ve added both of these to my wish list:
Hitler and Mars Bars, written by Dianne Ascroft, has popped up on several blogs
in the past few weeks. I added it to my Friday Finds after reading this review and interview at Fyrefly’s Book Blog and at Wendi’s Book Corner
I read a review of One Red Paperclip at Betty’s Books. The memoir, by Kyle MacDonald, chronicles how he started with a red paperclip, and kept trading up until he traded for a house (really!). I had heard this story a few years ago, but didn’t know he had written an inspirational book about his experience. Yep, that’s the cover, plain and simple!
What books caught your interest this week?

I’ve heard that paperclip story, too, but had no idea it was a book. I’d love to read that.
Now I have a book to add for next week’s Friday Finds. I didn’t know there was a book about Kyle MacDonald. I saw him a few times during his adventures. =) I have to read this.
That paper clip book had me interested me too. I had read that story in Readers digest sometime back.
Hi Dawn, thanks for visiting my blog! I’m glad you found One Red Paperclip interesting. I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading it too! =)
One Red Paperclip looks fabulous! I can’t wait to read that one!
Hitler and Mars Bars caught my eye on a blog or two this week, too.
A couple of my Friday Finds this week were from your blog.
I’m glad that ‘Hitler and Mars Bars’ caught your attention (and several of your readers)! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it after you read it.
I’m hoping to read Hitler and Mars Bar in 2009, for the War Through the Generations Challenge. It does look good!
Hi All – there are so many good books out there! Aside from updating my Friday Finds each week I need to be more diligent about keeping a wish list up-to-date. One of those New Year’s resolutions, I suppose!
