2nds Challenge 2009

Another challenge hosted by J. Kaye.  This is a great way to combine the 1st in a Series with this one; but, 2nds doesn’t have to be a series book, it can be a book from an author you’ve read just one other book.  I like this because I’ll be encouraged to read deeper into an author’s body of work.

Here are the guidelines:

1. Anyone can join. You don’t need to have a blog to participate.

2. Read 12 books by authors that you have only read once. It doesn’t have to be a series.

3. You can join anytime between now and December 31, 2009. Don’t start reading until January.

4. You may list your chosen books any time during the year. Change the list if needed.

Here is the list of books I’ve read for the 2nds Challenge 2009, with links to my reviews:

  1. Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell
  2. The Brightest Moon of the Century by Christopher Meeks
  3. Resistance by Anita Shreve
  4. Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict by Laurie Viera Rigler
  5. Seven Miles to Freedom: The Robert Smalls Story by Janet Halffman
  6. Beg, Borrow, Steal by Michael Greenberg
  7. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
  8. When She Flew by Jennie Shortridge
  9. What Can I Bring? Cookbook by Anne Byrn
