Small Change. Big Impact. Vote for First Book.

I received an e-mail from Jane Robinson, CFO of First Book, asking me to spread the word about a cost-free way you can help bring awareness, and possible funding, to First Book and to help establish a Global Resources Network.  First Book is reaching only a fraction of those who need services.  “A Global Resources Network would allow anyone serving kids in need to get the tools they need to create a vibrant and rich environment.  First Book’s proven social enterprise model is perfectly positioned to offer a paradigm-shifting opportunity to change the way we serve our hardest-to-reach children.”

Here’s the text of Jane’s message:

Hi Everyone:

I would love your quick help on this opportunity. It’s an easy way to help First Book lead the way into the New Year. Just go to:

http://www.change.org/ideas/view/launch_global_resources_network

and vote for our idea to Launch the Global Resources Network.

There’s only one day of voting left!

The top 10 ideas are going to be presented to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day and will be supported by a national lobbying campaign run by Change.org, MySpace, and more than a dozen leading nonprofits after the Inauguration. So each idea has a real chance at becoming policy.

Thanks for the support and a happy, happy new year to all,

Jane
