Book Giveaway: *Sundays at Tiffany’s* by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet

Jan 5th, 2009 by sheistoofondofbooks

Do you like reading romance?  Are you a fan or wanna-be-fan of best-selling author James Patterson?!  Have I got a deal for you … the generous folks over at Hachette Book Group are co-hosting a giveaway of Sundays at Tiffany’s by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet.  They have offered up to five paperback copies of this romantic novel, one for every five entries received at “She is Too Fond of Books.”

Here’s the publisher’s synopsis of Sundays at Tiffany’s:

As a little girl, Jane has no one.  Her mother, the powerful head of a Broadway theater company, has no time for her.  She does have one friend - a handsome, comforting, funny man named Michael - but only she can see him.

Years later, Jane is in her thirties and just as alone as ever.  Then she meets Michael again - as handsome, smart and perfect as she remembers him to be.  But not even Michael knows the reason they’ve really been reunited.

Sundays at Tiffany’s is a love story with an irresistible twist, a novel about the child inside all of us - and the boundary-crossing power of love.

Does that pique your interest?!  To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below indicating why you’d like to read Sundays at Tiffany’s (huge James Patterson fan?  have you read any of Gabrielle Charbonnet’s children’s books?  does the retro styling of the cover grab you? etc.).  Enter by midnight on Friday January 16; I’ll used random.org to pull the names of the five winners, and will post them on Saturday January 17.  The books are being shipped directly from the publisher, so the giveaway is open only in the U. S. and Canada; no P. O. Boxes, please.

p.s.  if you just can’t wait to find out if you’re a winner, continue reading the story here.  Hachette has the first seven chapters available online!

  3. on 05 Jan 2009 at 5:56 pm3Stephanie S.

I love James Patterson! But, I’ve only read his “other” stuff. I’d like to try out this side of him.

  4. on 05 Jan 2009 at 6:54 pm4Nicole

I had an imaginary friend once — he was a world traveler . . .

  5. on 05 Jan 2009 at 9:16 pm5Lo

i do like the retro cover!

  6. on 05 Jan 2009 at 9:18 pm6carmen alexis

I’m going to admit that I’ve never read any of James Patterson’s books. But what’s drawn me to this book is the synopsis. An imaginary friend who returns when she’s all grown up… so intriguing!
    Please count me in. =)

Oh, I read the review of this and it brought up all sorts of memories of my imaginary hordes of yore. I just loved the idea but haven’t gotten around to scouting the library for it (these books are usually only checked out for a week and I can never finish them in time). If you give me a copy, I will write a review of it. I need the practice and I am starting to enjoy the whole reviewing thing.

I’d love to read this — I’ve been reading quite a few “heavy duty” books, and I’d like to read something dreamy and romantic. Thanks for the chance!

I’m intrigued by yet another genre from James Patterson - I’ve read his slasher murder mysteries, his YA series, and now what appears to be fantasy/romance. Interesting.

I’m a huge James Patterson fan!

  20. on 06 Jan 2009 at 3:58 pm20Tisa

I don’t think I’ve read any of Patterson’s books yet although I’d love to! THis book caught my eye due to the title and the cover picture! Thanks for the giveaway! ~ :)

  21. on 06 Jan 2009 at 4:18 pm21MJ

    I’m a big JP fan> I’d love to read this. I’ve heard it’s different!

  22. on 06 Jan 2009 at 4:30 pm22Ti

James Patterson? Romance? I’ve never read a Patterson book but I don’t think of romance when I hear his name. I’m interested in the book just for that reason. Also, I don’t think he usually writes with anyone else, does he? I think the cover is interesting with his name in large type at the top and hers in small type at the bottom.

Ok. You’ve got me convinced. I definitely want to read this one. I’m a huge bookworm who runs through books like most ladies run through pantyhose-no much faster than that. Anyway, I am usually weary about picking up a romance novel. I usually pick up suspense and mystery type novels instead. It’s not because I don’t enjoy romance novels. It’s because many of them offered up for sale are cheesy, gag-me and make-the-publisher-deadline-type paperbacks. If I do buy a romance novel it’s because it was written by reputable author or I’ve heard about it from a reputable source. I LOVE James Patterson! I’ve read many of his books. He’s a seriously talented suspense novelist. My curiosity is peeked. I would love to read this one. Please count me in!!!
