Friday Finds is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should be Reading. Click on over to her blog to read what others have found this week.
My first discovery: from this review at S. Krishna’s Books I found Conscience Point by Erica Abeel. This
“modern-day Gothic mystery” will be published by Unbridled Books in May. Another reason to look forward to spring!
Jennie Nash’s The Only Genius in the Family came to my from two bloggers’ Teaser Tuesdays. One was Avis at She Reads and Reads; the other was ??? I don’t remember! The mystery Teaser quoted something about “she poured herself another glass of wine in response.” This quote and Avis’ (the opening lines of the novel) have me adding The Only True Genius in the Family to my wish list. If you posted the mystery Teaser, please let me know so I can credit you with the ever-growing wish list!
update 2/2/09: Thanks to Avis, we’ve identified the mystery blogger. It’s Dar from Peeking Between the Pages, here’s her Teaser with the quote.
What’s been added to your wish list this week?

Those are great finds!
My finds
Both of those books look great!
The Only Genius In the Family sounds like it was written for me! LOL! I like to joke that I’m the only genius in my family, =D but I’m only joking of course.
Hey, just wanted to say that Conscience Point is actually already out in hardcover! The paperback version is being released in May…I think I’m going to edit my review to make that clearer…
Two good finds!
I’m planning to go to the bookstore this weekend so hopefully I’ll have some finds
I am curious about The Only Genius book…. I love the cover so I need to see what that’s about!
Jennie Nash sent my neighborhood book club an advance copy of “The Only Genius.” So far one of our members has read it and liked it. Another is reading it right now.
A book managed to sneak up on me this week.
Friday Finds
Conscience Point is in my TBR pile. I just got the new catalog from Unbridled Books and the cover is different in the catalog. Must be the paperback version.
Haha, I may have done that pouring myself another glass of wine response a few times
Thanks for mentioning my blog! I mentioned our duplicate posts from a couple of weeks ago in mine this week!
Ooh good finds! I added Tall, Dark, and Dead by Tate Hallaway to my list this week since I LOVED her story in Many Blood Returns. There were several other authors in that anthology that I plan on picking up at a later date as well.
Conscience Point looks very interesting! I’m going to be reading The Only True Genius sometime next month, so I’m hoping it’s good.
gautami – your Finds look great, too! This is such a fun round-up each week.
Kathy – we find so many recommendations on other blogs …
Betty – we have so much in common; I’m the only true genius in my family, too
Swapna – thanks for setting me straight (I’m still looking forward to spring!)
Beth – I like reading your “featured finds” each weekend.
iliana – I like to thumb thru a book, or at least read an excerpt, before I add it to my TBR
sherry – oh, your lucky book group! Did you enter a contest somewhere?
Anna – my Unbridled catalog came today … finally! I heard everyone else “talking” about it for weeks.
Shana – You know that “glass half full” approach to life? sometimes “half full” isn’t full enough!
avis – we don’t have any overlap this week.
ladytink – anthologies are a great way to “sample” a number of authors
Alyce – did you read Sherry’s comment above? Someone in her circle has given it the seal of approval!
Dawn, could this be the teaser you were thinking of:
