I don’t think I’ve ever highlighted errors in junk mail but I do point out errors in store signs or books or magazines, especially if they are funny. I’m sure there are errors on my blog too, although I hope most of them would be typos, not that I don’t know the proper spelling/grammar. I don’t claim to be perfect though.

Kathy – I’m sure I have published errors, too. Like I said, I must have been cranky (not enough chocolate?)

Heather – I’ve tried it since reading your comment. No, it doesn’t exist (but now my “auto-fill” on the URL bar wants to select that address; I’ve got to delete the history!)

sarah – have you read Lynn Truss’ *Eats, Shoots & Leaves*? I think you’d like it!

Nicole – I did. He raised his eyebrows and gave me that quizzical look … (you can picture it, right?)

Amy – I don’t remember which blog it was. It was one I didn’t “know” the author, so I felt like I couldn’t send a “would you edit my comment?!?” email!

Avis – I spelled an author’s name incorrectly in my Mailbox Monday a few weeks ago. Just a silly typing-too-fast error. She let me know and I corrected it.

Lenore – I know! Does that make it funnier, or just weirder!??

LuAnn – I’m that way with “regards”, as in “in regards to”. Regards are something you give … like, to Broadway! It’s proper to say “in regard to”, or just “regarding.” Another sticking point for me: “irregardless” … no such word!

iliana – yes, and I laugh at my mistakes

Melissa – I may have the grammar police pointing out all my errors, after writing this post!

Dave – I was thinking the same thing after I read Lenore’s comment and I took a look at my keyboard! Yikes!

One of mine is towards! No such word! Get rid of that S!
This also goes for backward, forward, afterward, etc.
Another is the constant use of then or that. When you’re talking about a chronological series of events, it’s pretty much understood THAT THEN the next event happened!
