Library Hospital is hosting the first ever Maud Hart Lovelace reading challenge. This covers all things Maud-related: the beloved Betsy-Tacy books, the Betsy-Tacy companions, Lovelace’s other novels (there were others
) … but focuses on the newly reissued books about Betsy in high school and beyond.
The challenge runs through the month of October; all details can be found at Library Hospital (the tag line reads “a library is a hospital for the mind,” isn’t that great??!)
I’ll use this space to record my posts about Maud Hart Lovelace and Betsy-Tacy … are you joining me in the challenge?

Booking Daughter and I signed up too! We love these books!
Good luck and have fun!
Your post last week convinced me I needed to try these books. I went ahead and ordered the first two in the series. I think I’ll be joining this challenge!
This sounds like so much fun, but I can’t join yet another challenge . . . (well, I did join one today, but it doesn’t count)
I wrote a short review of how Maud Hart Lovelace has affected my life. This is one series that you won’t be sorry you took up the challenge.

Julie – eeks! It’s 10/22 and I’ve yet to post my reviews (it’s going to be a busy weekend!)
Kathy – thanks … as usual, I’m behind on the challenge.
Stephanie – I’ll pop over to read your thoughts about Betsy and friends.
Beth F – you joined a challenge that “doesn’t count”?!? Is that like eating ice cream that doesn’t count?!
Jeanne – what a nice essay – you’ve made wonderful connections between your life and Betsy’s; how fun to grow up with her.
