This looks like a great audio book and one that I would like to listen to. I have recently started to listen to audio books while exercising as well. I am trying to utilize more of my time reading, so it works out well for me. I am really glad that you loved the book!

Out of all the novels you read lately, this one appeals to me. I’ve put it on my list to get the audio from the library as soon as we are at our son’s. (I have a library card there.) It sounds like good entertainment.

Well, I guess anything that works to keep you exercising longer is worth a try. It sounds like a good book … and I’m intrigued by the near tragedy aspect too.

rhapsody – lol! I used to tease my sister mercilessly about her clown-aphobia (yeah, I know there’s probably a real world for it… hold on … googling … “Coulrophobia” is fear of clowns!)

Kathy – I’m sharing the audio with a friend!

Serena – the author’s change in attitude and her (forced) growth during the journey really struck me.

Sandy – The challenge they faced is what really grabbed me; I wouldn’t have cared for a straight “all about our around the world trip” as much.

Lenore – Communist China 1986 … that will get you to pick it up.

Priscilla – “so many books, so little time ….”

charley – I liked her voices for the dialogue – consistent.

Darlene – I’ll look for your review; when do you listen? in the car? around the house? It was a huge incentive for treadmill time for me.

Beth F – the only two author-narrated books I’ve enjoyed are this one and OUTLIERS. I’ve listened to a few fiction author-narrated and thought, “hmm, stick to the writing!” (yes, I’m the pot calling the kettle black – I hate hearing my recorded voice. No worries, I’ll have a pro read my book Ha ha!)

I don’t do abridged audio, but I look to see if there is an UNabridged version. I’m glad to know that the author did a good job with the narration, authors usually make for poor narrators (in my experience).

I’m so glad to hear you loved this audio as I have it on audio as well. I haven’t had a chance to listen yet but now I’m looking forward to it.
