Giveaway: *In My Book* greeting card and bookmark in one!

How clever is this?!  Robin from In My Book contacted me with a sample of her wonderful greeting card bookmarks, and has offered one to each of THREE winners!

Here’s a description of the product, straight from the In My Book website.  It describes me to a “T” – a thrifty recycler/reuser who loves books and giving bookish gifts (thankfully, I’ve yet to use a bologna slice as a bookmark!):

Book lovers are usually known to be economical people and recycling enthusiasts. And they love their books with a passion. You know the saying: “So many books, so little time?

So, for those of you who support recycling and want to find inexpensive gifts that serve more than one purpose, here’s a nifty idea… A greeting card that perforates to become a bookmark! So throw away those crumpled receipts, old index cards, bologna slices, ripped up parking tickets, and get yourself (and all your friends) some real bookmarks. …some IN MY BOOK® cards!

The cards are printed on heavy watercolor paper, with lighthearted but meaningful gray-scale illustrations by Meredith Hamilton.  Inside is blank for your own greeting, and a neatly perforated edge allows the recipient to pull off the front of the greeting card to use it as a durable and personal bookmark.

There are 15 styles, all are headed with “In my Book” and have an illustration that reflects the sentiment.  For example: a bed (with book splayed open) and “you’re in between the covers”; Tarzan swinging through the jungle and “you’re quite a character”; a women taking a book down from the highest spot in the case and “you’re top shelf.”

in my bookRobin sent me this “you’re in between the covers” greeting.  I’m going to tuck it in a book that J will open on Christmas morning :) .  I like the quality of the paper, the cute illustration, and the space to write my personal greeting.  In My Book is a thoughtful way to send a note to a friend, and a nice extra to include with a gift book.

Each unique greeting card/bookmark comes with an eye-catching bright red mailing envelope.  In My Book products sell for $3.95 online, and at select bookstores, museum shops, and gift boutiques.  You can search online to find a store near you that carries In My Book.

Would you like to get in on the giveaway?  Simply visit the In My Book website and browse the 15 unique themes, then leave a comment below, indicating which would be your choice.

Entries will be accepted until midnight EST on December 31, 2009; on January 1 I’ll randomly select 3 winners and post the names below.  Giveaway is open to US/Canada only.
