The 100 Mile Fitness Challenge 2 is a motivational tool to encourage us to walk at least 100 (measured and intentional) miles during the first quarter, January – March, 2010. Details can be found on the 100 Mile Fitness Challenge sign-up page.
I didn’t make my goal in the first round, but I’m off to a good start this time, and #gameondiet is further motivating me to log those miles. I’ll use this post to lot my progress throughout the 3 months, and will post a separate wrap-up at the end of the Challenge.
- as of 1/10/10: 27 miles (all treadmill walking; most days 3 miles, one day 2, one day 1)
- as of 1/17/10: I added 14 miles this week and have started a walk/run combo on the treadmill; total 41 miles
- as of 1/24/10: I added 17 miles this week, and need to pick up the running a bit! Total 58 miles

Like I said earlier, because of Game On, I kicked booty on this for the past week. 30 miles! I really wasn’t paying attention, and about choked when I saw my totals after my walk today. I’m a third done!
I’m so out of the blogging world that I have no idea what Game On Diet is! Guess I should check that out.
Anyway, glad it’s helping motivate you and some of the others into getting the workout portion.

I walked 19 miles last week (not nearly as good as Sandy, but I’m happy). I figure if I taunt you with my miles, it’ll get you going!
I wish you good luck with this challenge, and if you ever need a pep talk, I will sure be around to give you one!!
I’m excited to start this challenge myself. I’ve done nothing in weeks one and two but did get my WiiFit today so I plan to rectify that tout de suite!
