My name is Paula L. Tutman and I’m an Emmy award winning broadcast journalist. I’ve been a TV reporter for almost 30 years, obviously starting in this industry when I was six--make that three. But recently I turned my experiences as a reporter into an award winning mystery thriller series. DEADLINE!, Book One and the recently released DEADLINE!!, Second Block are about an intrepid TV journalist who covers a double murder just outside of Detroit. What PS Garrett doesn’t realize is the killer is still on the scene enjoying his handiwork. It’s a crime of opportunity, but when the killer sees his favorite TV reporter, he realizes that if he keeps killing, she will likely keep showing up to cover his crimes, and perhaps, he’ll get an opportunity to meet her and make her his own. The two part series is loosely based on a killer who developed an obsession with me when I worked as a police reporter some years ago. I actually used my old reporter notes, the pre-trial reports and even his love letters to build the killer in my book. My debut novel won the Hollywood Book Festival, 2009 Best General Fiction award. I’m also a member of the International Thriller Writers, Debut Author Class of 2009. Book Two was released just days ago. I’d love for you to consider a review. My website is DEADLINETHEBOOK.COM there you’ll find a video trailer, a book-on-tape excerpt and notes on the writing of the series and lots of other really cool stuff. Let me know if this is something you’d like to consider.
Best, P.

I'm so looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone who will be in NY in May!

And for those who can't make it ... we'll miss you, but, keep up with the blog posts and tweets, and you'll feel as close to being there.

Oh gosh--I cannot wait. Last year I sat at my home in CT reading about it, thinking "Why aren't I THERE??"

The Strand is a wonderful NYC bookstore experience, as is Books of Wonder, and they are right around the corner from each other.
