How many titles do you recognize as they flash across the screen?
The story behind Ocoee Middle School’s “Gotta Keep Reading” video is in this article at the Orlando Sentinel. Inspired by the Black-Eyed Peas, the song, with lyrics re-written to promote reading, has garnered the attention of Oprah. Oprah, in turn, has promised to join forces with Target to give the Ocoee Middle School library a complete makeover, including new furniture, computers, and 2000 books.
This is absolutely awesome! It’s too bad it’s sung to the tune of another song because it should be recorded and passed out to all schools. I need to share this.
