Weekend Cooking: Kitchen Haiku

Kitchen Haiku is not a new as-seen-on-late-night-tv product; it’s something I cooked up (ha!) in honor of National Poetry Month.  Silly, but fun and satisfying … just the way I like my weekends:

My Kitchen Haiku

Marvels of plastic:
Tupperware seals in freshness;
Saran Wrap tangles.

Microwave oven.
Automatic dishwasher.
Fast food. Quick clean up.

My father’s theory:
Sharpen kitchen cutlery;
dull knives are hazards.

Your Kitchen Haiku:
five-seven-five syllables.

See what else is happening in the kitchens of the blogosphere this weekend.  Check out Beth Fish Reads’ Weekend Cooking to find links to other food-related posts.  There may be book reviews, recipes, kitchen gadget tips and tricks … maybe some more poetry!

Care to share a kitchen haiku of your own?
