Remember my post about planning a virtual cookie swap? It came about when I was inspired by Lauren Chattman’s Cookie Swap to host a cookie party at my house (she also has convinced me that I should be baking my cookies on parchment paper – I’ll let you know the results!). That cookie party is happening next week, and on December 18 I’ll be posting about it with photos and feedback.
I thought it would be fun to have a virtual cookie swap with friends from around the internet. You could post about a favorite holiday cookie recipe, a cookie recipe disaster, or a success story and feedback on a new cookie recipe. You don’t even have to dress up – wear your pajamas if you like … I’ll have plenty of coffee for all!
These posts will run on Saturday, December 18, as part of Beth Fish Reads’ Weekend Cooking round-up. Head over there now for an escape with “foodies at the movies” and other food-related posts.

I’ll be there! Soy milk for my coffee, please… Oh wait, better yet, can I get a soy latte?
Glad I’ll be coming to the “live” swap and not just the virtual one !
I wish I was coming to the live swap, but will have to settle for the virtual one. I got my cookies made yesterday!
Okay, give me details on how I can bring some fiction to the cookie swap! That’ll be FUN.
I’ll have to settle for the virtual one too. Hopefully my cookies will get made tomorrow.
Neat idea but I don’t think I’ll participate as I’m not a big baker. I might check out the recipes anyways though.
YUM! Cookies!!
I just put this on my calendar so I can participate with cookies of my own.
You are so wonderful to make the swap fit into Weekend Cooking. I can’t wait to share my cookies!
Count me in on the cookie swap. I’d rather be at the live swap so I can actually sample each one but I use my imagination.
