  • So, here’s my Little Women story. When I was pregnant with my kids I felt the need to read all the books I love, to infuse them with the stories I thought they should know. I was very, very pregnant with my daughter when I read Little Women. When I got to the part where Beth dies (I hope I’m not spoiling it) and was just devastated. My poor husband, never having been around pregnant women before, was sure something was horribly wrong. All I could say between sobs was “Beth died” He had no idea what I was talking about. When I finally calmed down and told him the reason he was, let’s just say very amused. To this day if anything comes up involving Little Women he’ll ask “Do you remember that time?” It’s one of his favorite stories to tell our daughter.

  • I am also too fond of Louisa May! And you, too!
