No, we weren’t in Potsdam! My son and I spotted this sign over the summer when we were up in Stratham,
New Hampshire, on our way to a blueberry farm.
Blueberries, frying pans … these photos led me to a brief but fun Weekend Cooking post … and to memories of warmer days!

Dreaming of summer over here in icy central PA. I wonder what the story is behind that street name? Where Mrs. Smith hit her husband over the head with a cast iron pan one winter night? Where the tinsmith, who had a fondness for making frying pans, lived?
Fun pictures! And great to see on yet another wintery weather day!
Oh summer, how wonderful and far away that seems
That’s me behind those blueberries!!
Makes me want some blueberry lemonade, yum!

mmmmmm blueberries….. a favorite of mine!
Your pictures make me feel warmer. I’ll bet there’s a good story behind the Frying Pan street name.
Love me some blueberries!
Ohhh, the thought of blueberries and summer are so tantalizing as we sit knee-deep in snow. Although we did have Spring-like temps. today I know winter is not over.
Too bad the cross street wasn’t Fire Ave.
It was so nice to see blueberry bushes. It makes me hopeful for summer…LOL
Hahahaha, that is such a cool street name, much better than the more cliché ones ;D (Blueberries and summer… impatiently waiting for those!
I may be wrong, but I think when the nine-one-one addresses came about, sometimes people could choose the names of their lanes or small driveways. Maybe the person who lives there is a big fan of fried foods!
Great photos and no snow shovellin involved.
Those blueberries on the bushes are just so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this!
