I love this alphabet series of books from Sleeping Bear Press – they’re not the alphabet books I grew up with, and I’m so pleased to add various volumes to our family library.
S is for Shamrock shares Ireland’s history and culture through short verse, more detailed sidebars, and appropriate illustrations. You can read my full review of Eve Bunting’s S is for Shamrock here.
The publisher has very generously offered a copy of this book for me to share with one of you! To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below, giving a guess as to how any letter of the alphabet might be represented in this “Ireland Alphabet.” We know “S is for Shamrock,” what do you think A is for? or B? or C? …
This post will be open for comments until midnight ET on Saturday, March 6. I’ll draw a winner using random.org, and post the name on Sunday, March 7. Giveaway is open to US/Canada residents only, no PO Boxes.
Adh mór ort! … which I think means “good luck!” Apologies – and please correct me – if I’m wrong!
