We held a baby shower for my nephew’s wife (my niece-in-law?) last weekend; chocolate-dipped strawberries were on the menu! I turned to my go-to source for recipes, the Cook’s Illustrated member website. Some of the content is available to all who visit the site, but many of the resources – including recipes, tests of kitchen equipment [...] About six months ago – when I first confessed to injecting the ATK Kool Aid into my veins – I explored their website from top to bottom, no nook and cranny (English Muffin reference) went unexplored. One interesting tab that I found contained information for their cooking school – courses for everything from making their Hearty [...] About a year ago I organized a virtual cookie swap where we exchanged holiday cookie recipes – what a fun way to gather several tried-and-true favorites! While I didn’t spearhead an online swap this year, my friend Kristine and I again co-hosted an exchange for some of our friends this past week: eight woman I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I have drunk the Cook’s Illustrated Kool-Aid, and it is as addictive as it is delicious! Cook’s Illustrated is the parent company of Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country magazines, as well as the CooksIllustrated website (with recipes, equipment ratings, taste tests, tips and techniques as in the [...] This is fun! Back in May I took part in “The Boston Blogger Cookie Challenge” from America’s Test Kitchen. The grand prize was an invitation to come to their studios in Brookline, Mass. to watch a taping of the show.
